In terms of safety levels, there are no significant differences between belt-mounted and ISOFIX base-mounted child seats. The key, however, is correct installation - and with belt-installed models it is much easier to make a mistake, especially in the daily rush or with a first toddler when there is still a lack of practice. That is why Avionaut have created the Dock 2 base. It is a universal design for the 0-13 kg category seats: the Avionaut Pixel Pro 2.0 C and the Avionaut Cosmo/ Cosmo 2.0, which allows them to be fitted quickly, easily and correctly. The base is attached to the ISOFIX hooks in the car, and then the seat is placed on it. And now you can be sure that the installation has been done correctly and your little one can travel safely.
The ISOFIX Dock 2 base gives you peace of mind that the seat has been fitted correctly. The ergonomic design makes it easy and intuitive to install, as well as safe. It stabilises the child seat on the car seat, preventing it from moving while riding or during sudden manoeuvres. The base is equipped with a special support leg, which further immobilises the entire set.

ISOFIX and seat belts are two vital elements when it comes to children's car seats. Both keep the car seat secure.
In terms of safety during impact, there is no difference between ISOFIX and belt attachment, as long as they are both installed correctly - they are as safe as each other.
Weight limit or height limit first?
Car seats that have a weight limit and a height limit are outgrown as soon as your child meets one of those limits. e.g. an infant carrier might have a 13kg weight limit and an 86cm height limit, the seat would be outgrown as soon as the child was 86cm even if they were only 11kg.
